Privacy Policy

This policy explains exactly what iToolMania does with your files and your data. It describes how the site actually works rather than reserving every right we might conceivably want later.

Your files are not uploaded

Every one of our 43 tools runs entirely inside your browser. When you drop a PDF or an image into one of them, the file is read into your device's memory, processed by your own browser's engines, and handed straight back to you as a download. It is never transmitted to us. There is no copy on a server to leak, to sell, to hand over on request, or to forget to delete.

You do not have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run any conversion: you will see no request carrying your file. If we ever add a tool that does need a server, that tool's page will say so plainly and this section will stop applying to it.

What we do store

You can use every free tool without an account, and if you never create one we hold nothing that identifies you. If you do create an account, we store:

• Your email address, so you can log in and we can contact you about the account.
• A bcrypt hash of your password, never the password itself. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.
• Your plan and its expiry, so we know what you are entitled to.
• A daily count of tools you have run, which is how the free daily allowance is enforced. It is a number per day, not a record of which tools you used or what you converted.
• If you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier and the name and email Google returns.

Cookies

We set one cookie, tn_session, and only after you log in. It holds a signed token that keeps you logged in for 30 days. It is httpOnly, so scripts cannot read it. We do not use tracking cookies, and there is no advertising or analytics cookie on this site today. If that changes, this section changes first.

Your theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, and never leaves your device.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. Two providers necessarily process it on our behalf:

• Vercel hosts the site and, like any web host, processes the request logs that reach it, including IP addresses.
• Neon hosts the database where account records live.

Neither receives your files, because your files are never sent anywhere.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. Email hello@itoolmania.com and we will action it. Deletion is real deletion: the row is removed, not flagged.

Because the free tools need no account, the simplest way to share nothing with us is to not create one. That option is deliberate and is not going away.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
